TVS GT500

This week was busy!

Here's a car you may recognize from the track last weekend:

Paul's Black/Grabber Blue GT500 was at the shop to get some mods done:

BPS porting on his TVS along with a JLT 127mm...DYNO Tune at Bonhomme Performance and out on the track we go!

Let's see Paul beat his PBT of 11.1...this is going to be a 10 second monster no doubt about it!

Round 2!

I left you guys off last time with Heinz's GT500 on the dyno with the 123mm MAF. It put down some great numbers but unfortunately we couldn't try it out on the track.

We now received the 140mm tube! So we went along and put back the 3.125'' pulley:

833rwhp....now that's nine seconds for sure!

Heinz's GT500 (Dyno Footage...)

Our new friend Heinz (allkheinz @ SVTperformance) from Toronto came down for the weekend. The reason you ask...?

He wants a 9 sec car!

We are going to help him out with that!

This setup made 853rwhp 780rwtq on a DynoJet at 24 pounds of boost

The to-do list:

•  Remove the 3.125" pulley and slap on a 3.5" ( Too much boost for a 123mm MAF)
• Remove the stock fuel pump with boost-a-pump set up (This car is no doubt about it starving for fuel) & install the JPC Triple Pump Fuel System 
•  Remove stock fuel rails and install BPS High Flow fuel rails
• Dyno Tune with Dennis Gomes from Tasca Ford Mod Shop On Bonhomme Performance's Mustang Dyno

In order to change the fuel rails, we had to remove the monster 4.0L. Here's a pic of us finishing the install.

Today's DYNO day!! I'll let the video speak for itself...

Numbers? (keep in mind this is a Mustang Dyno and puts down lower numbers than a Dyno Jet)

Sadly forecast called for rain today... so no quarter mile times. It'll have to wait till next time!

We have yet to install the 140mm Super CJ MAF but are missing the tube...will come in soon to replace the 123mm. At the same time we'll switch back to the 3.125"... Expect HUGE gains!!!

FR-S & BRZ Short Shifter

We have been working on this project for some time now with the help of our friend Alex with his brand new 2013 FR-S. He gratefully let us ''experiment''on his car so to speak! With his feedback on how our prototype performed and long hours of development we are finally getting close to the final product...

Here we are taking down all the important measurements to be able to make this fit and work the FIRST time!

With the BPS Short shifter we achieved an amazing 25% reduction in throw!
